gen 5 glock 19 review

Gen 5 Glock 19 Review - I have been a Glock owner for 15 years and have fired countless rounds through these guns during my time in the firearms industry. For the past several years, I've been testing the Glock 19 Gen5 with the goal of helping other gun enthusiasts better understand the pros and cons of the firearms.

I found the Glock 19 Gen5 a noticeable improvement over the Gen4. This provides more flexibility and accuracy.

Since 1982, Glock has been a leader in semi-automatic pistols. Known for packing a punch despite its small size, the Glock 19 continues to dominate the industry.

This comprehensive review analyzes the features of the Glock 19 Gen5. We'll dive into other customer reviews and possible alternatives.

The Glock 19 Gen5 was created in response to changes in FBI requirements for firearms. In 2016, Glock made a deal with the FBI for this pistol. After signing the contract, they released the Gen5 to the citizens.

Compared to the Gen4, the Gen5 has a revamped grip, barrel, slide, trigger, magazine, scope and finish.

Overall, the Gen5 is a high-quality gun. It has excellent functional accuracy, large magazine capacity, compact size and high reliability. This design helps you shoot your target with the least amount of hiccups.

When designing the Gen5, Glock eliminated the finger grooves on the front strap to improve weapon comfort. Although not very ergonomic, it shows an improvement over the Gen4.

This weapon has four detachable back straps. You can choose between medium and large sizes with or without beaver tiles. These straps help you mount the gun in your hand.

The grip on the Glock 19 Gen5 helps in defensive encounters. While it lacks comfort, it makes up for it by offering plenty of leverage. You can apply pressure on the front and back straps for better control while shooting.

The bottom of the grip has a blocky feel, but the rounded top helps reduce discomfort. Using a beavertail strap adds more distance between the trigger and your hand, so you can try this for more trigger reach. control

The magazine release on this gun is reversible, which is ambiguous. It's not dented like other Glock 19s, so you won't need to replace it right away.

The slide stops look identical on both sides of the gun. They have a squishy texture, so you need to practice your slide technique. Visualization

The viewfinder on the Gen5 is made of plastic. Some factories sell it with an iron viewfinder, or you can save money upfront and dress it up with a custom viewfinder later.

If desired, you can purchase the Gen5 with Glock AmeriGlo charms. You can choose between Night Sight and Bold Night Sight. Bold option works better during day and night shooting.

In addition, this redesign has a slight change compared to Gen4, which makes it easier to set up attractions. trigger

With the Gen5, Glock modified the trigger connector bar to make pulling the trigger easier. It feels less jerky initially compared to other Glocks, but there is a slight bump when activated. Additionally, this trigger has a rolling breakpoint that helps in defensive situations. Glock 19 Gen5 Review

I scoured the internet for user reviews and most were positive, especially regarding the activator and overall reliability. If you're a fan of Glocks, you'll love the Glock 19 Gen5. While everyone agrees you need a new sight, this gun shoots well and rarely fails. Also, the lack of finger grooves makes it more comfortable than other Glock 19s. Glock 19 Gen5. alternatives

An alternative to the Glock 19 Gen5 is the CZ P10c. This compact pistol is almost identical in size, but the beveled cuts make it even better. It also has the same power as Glock 19s.

Another option is the SIG Sauer P365. You can carry 10, 12 or 15 round magazines concealed. Additionally, you can customize slides and frames to adjust the visual radius. Overall, it's a powerful, lightweight gun that compares favorably to the Glock 19 Gen5. Our verdict

We recommend the Glock 19 Gen5 to anyone looking for a handgun for self-defense. It is easy to use, compact, accurate and customizable.

When you want to buy some aftermarket parts, the basic model is the most reliable. Overall, it's hard to go wrong with a Glock if you like style.

When Glock released the fifth-generation pistol a few years ago, many asked why. With Generation 5, Glock has made things even more perfect. However, this is a contradiction of sorts. I mean, if it's perfect, can it get any better? I still hear people ask about the differences between the Glock Gen 4 and Gen 5, especially this common favorite: the Glock 19 Gen 5.

The Glock 19 Gen 5 is the flagship Glock pistol offering. While third and fourth generation Glock 19s are still available on the market and often for sale, the Glock 19 Gen 5 is the more premium model. And for thousands of civilians, militaries and law enforcement agencies around the world, Glock is often the brand of choice.

Gen 5 Glock 19 Review

Although the fifth-generation Glocks and Glock 19 Gen 5 are several years old now, let's review the changes and upgrades that come with them. When Glock released the Gen 5, they introduced over 20 design changes. These changes make the Gen 5 an even better choice.

Many of the changes and upgrades in the Glock Gen 5 models are small and aesthetically pleasing. In fact, some of these changes may not be noticed at first. Other changes, however, bring greater reliability, better functionality, and continue to refine and improve the things Glock is known for. To the company's credit, many of these new upgrades and features are a direct result of customer feedback.

If you are wondering whether or not to buy a Glock 19 Gen 5, this article is for you.

Among these changes, here are the most important and valuable ones: the new GLOCK Marksman barrel as a standard feature; trigger improvements for smoother activation; Ambidextrous stop-slip lever; And upgrade to Glock's Safe Action® system. Additionally, Glock now offers the option for factory-installed, upgraded Ameriglo night sights, addressing criticism of its plastic factory sights.

Glock 19 Gen 4 Review

Let's talk a little about the Glock 19 Gen 5. I've shared before that I'm a fan of the Glock 19. When I train a new male or female marksman, the Glock 19 is always one of the first two guns. I will give it to them. They just work. They are reliable and easy to shoot. The Glock 19 has the perfect balance of size, barrel length, magazine capacity, weight, trigger force, and still concealability.

Does it get any better? It is definitely possible. This particular model is the Glock 19 Gen MOS. MOS stands for "Modular Optics System". For those looking to add a red dot to their Glock 19, this model allows for that, with a removable plate in front of the rear sight. This allows the shooter to attach any number of red dot patterns from different brands to the gun.

I also have a Glock 19 Gen 4. Can I tell the difference between the two? The answer is yes.

Gen 5 Glock 19 Review

The multiple upgrades from Gen 4 to Gen 5 aren't something many people notice. However, this is not a case of trigger pull and trigger reset. When Glock released the new slim, single-compartment Glock 43 a few years ago, it created a new trigger system. For the size of the gun, it is very smooth and works well. In fact, it worked so well that Glock made a new trigger system for all Gen 5 guns. And for a gun the size of the Glock 19 Gen 5, it's even better.
